Nila powder is a deep-blue botanical powder traditionally used in Moroccan hammam rituals. It comes from Indigofera leaves and is valued for antioxidant and skin-conditioning care after cleansing and exfoliation.
For a simple face or body mask, mix a small amount of Nila with rose water, aloe gel, or a light plant oil until you get a smooth paste. Apply to clean skin, leave on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
In a full hammam sequence, start with black soap, exfoliate with a kessa glove, rinse thoroughly, then apply your Nila mask. Finish with a nourishing body lotion or butter so skin feels soft and cared for.
Use 1–2 times per week. Always patch-test first if your skin is sensitive, and keep Nila away from light fabrics — the indigo pigment can stain.
