Beldi (black) soap is the classic first step of a Moroccan hammam. It softens the skin’s surface so exfoliation with a kessa glove feels more effective and less harsh.
Warm the skin in the shower, massage a thin layer of soap onto damp body skin, leave it on briefly, then rinse. Follow with kessa exfoliation on areas that tolerate it.
Avoid scrubbing freshly shaved, irritated or broken skin. After peeling, rinse thoroughly and moisturize with a body lotion or butter.
Shop Beldi soap alone or as part of the Moroccan Hammam Ritual for a complete at-home sequence.
